Plastics straws contain 500µl of biological material. Fourteen straws are stored in one visotube identified by its colour and there are 12 visotubes in one goblet. | |

Freezers contain several hundreds of thousands of samples such as tumour tissues, blood products, exfoliated cells, DNA, and urine. | |

There is also a dedicated room for storage at room temperature for paraffin blocks, slides, hair and nail samples and dried blood spots. | |
